This policy explains what data BackupForDevs (“we”, “this site”) handles when you visit or contact us.

Data we collect
The site is a static publication. It does not currently provide user accounts, comments, or a login area, and it does not run third-party analytics scripts.
- Server logs: our hosting and DNS providers may process standard technical data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamps for security and delivery.
- Email: if you email us, we receive your address and the contents of your message.
- Affiliate clicks: when you click a partner link, the partner may set cookies or receive a referral identifier to attribute a purchase. This site does not control those cookies.
Cookies
BackupForDevs does not set its own cookies. Third-party affiliate partners may set cookies after you click their links. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies. If we add first-party analytics or advertising later, this policy will be updated before those features are enabled.

- Cloudflare — domain registration and DNS.
- Hostwinds — email hosting.
- Affiliate networks and merchants — currently PartnerStack and the programs listed on our disclosure page.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.
How we use data
- To deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- To answer emails and correct content.
- To measure whether affiliate links lead to purchases, through the partner’s own tracking.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Email [email protected] and describe your request. We will respond within a reasonable period. You can also contact your local data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.
